Internship Information

The Sheriff PAL Program is currently seeking interns for the upcoming Police Athletic League season. This is an unpaid position but may count towards internship requirements for your degree or towards volunteer hours. PAL interns assist with operations of sports, recreational leagues. and mentoring programs for youth in Pontiac, MI. Our programs consist of basketball, soccer, track, cheer/dance/tumbling, t-ball/baseball, and fitness & mentoring program. Interns will participate in the day-to-day operations of these programs on-site, will perform office duties as needed (e.g., tracking attendance, data collection, creation of reports, developing communications strategies). A passion for working with kids and diverse populations is a must! Responsibility, reliability, and your own transportation are required. This internship is a good fit for Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, Health Science, Exercise Science, Counseling students looking for hands-on experience in community settings.
